How we began...
I can remember as a child my parents having a date to make dill pickles. They would have a dinner from the deli and go to work – sorting, packing and sealing. I loved waking up the next morning and smelling the vinegar and garlic brine.
When my dad passed away, my mom and I would make them.
She and I entered the State fair and won first place. When she passed away, I made them. I remember giving my husband Jim a case to take back to Reno before we were married. He had to hide them in his closet, because his friends would take them.
The first year we were married, Jim entered the pickles in the Oregon State Fair and they won the blue ribbon. We started making more pickles, and over the next several years they continued to win the blue ribbon. Finally, when we made 350 lbs into dill pickles, we decided to go commercial!
We hope you enjoy your jar....we had a lot of fun making them.

cheddar cheese – from Oregon, of course, as all of our ingredients are from this great state.
